Patagonia, also called « Great South » lies in the the southern  part of South America, shared by Chile and Argentina. This wild aera is also one of the less populated part of the planet.

This territory, renowned for its incroyable landscape is composed of mountains, glaciers near the oceans, steppes, lakes and forrests. The trees torn by the winds, tell us, that weather conditions are rough and imprevisible. There is a saying in Patagonia, which tells that it is not rare to have 4 seasons a day. The change from a blue sky without clouds ,to rain and snow storm in just a couple of minutes, will surprise any newcomer to the big south.

The contrast of colors are like a dream  and will charm any photographer looking for extraordinary sceneries. Shots of the wild animals  like Guanaco (sort of lama), Nandu of Darwin (flightless bird), pinguins or whales will be enchanting. Many plants wellknown by us, which have their native roots in Patagonia, as well as orchids which we can encounter on a stroll will delight any nature lover of mother nature.

The natives who consider themselfs as Patagonians, more than Chilieans or Argentinians. look more like islanders because of their strong attachement to land and customs. The kindness of these people and their habit of helping everybody lost or just  sharing a Maté with you, will make the trip even more enjoyable.
